2 Weeks until Jingle Jam!!
Jingle Jam is our church’s largest attended outreach of the year! In conjunction with Christmas in Centerville, Jingle Jam opens our church’s doors to our community and the real meaning of Christmas. Please prayerfully consider how you can help and who you can invite. We have 3 shows on Saturday, December 2nd at 4:00, 5:00 and 6:45 PM. We ask our church family to attend at 4:00 or 5:00, if possible, due to limited seating at the 6:45 show. Please see this weeks bulletin insert for opportunities to help with this fun outreach. Last year, we needed over 100 volunteers to serve in order to present this great event for our community and we were blessed with approximately 500 guests in attendance. Please help us make Jingle Jam an important part of Christmas in our Community. See Shari Markley with questions.
It’s time to decorate!!
We are in need of helpers to decorate the church building for Christmas! We need 3 people who are able to climb the ladder to the attic to unload the decorations at 3:00 PM on Tuesday,
November 28th. Then we need a whole crew to meet at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, November 29th, to do the actual decorating. If you can volunteer or have questions, please see Linda Sweet.
This year we will once again be serving the children of Wayne County. If you would like to participate in the Giving Tree, please see the instructions by the tree in the foyer. These gifts are to be purchased for individual children and/or children with siblings. Please look over the list for each individual and pick at least one want and one need for that particular child. Please wrap, tag with the Christmas tree tag taken from tree, and return on or before Sunday, December 17th. If you have any questions, please see Jan Frye or Marlena Sewell. (Jan- 765/993-0663). Children may pick from the tree with adult assistance and permission.
We will also be accepting donations of wrapping paper, tape, and name tags as well. If you don’t like to shop and wish to just donate money, we will be happy to shop for you.
