WHAT'S HAPPENING

Join us for these fun and exciting upcoming Family Events!!

Support class of 2018!!!

We are implementing a program this year to help our recent graduates as they begin a new chapter in their lives. In Mid-Summer our graduates will have profiles posted in the Church Foyer so you can adopt them for the year.

Adopter Expectations

Solitude and Meditation

This Summer we encourage our church partners to practice meditation and solitude by taking a nature walk at Cope Environmental Center. Bring your Bible and spend some quiet time with God and reflect in his beautiful creation.

You can use your regular devotional readings or you can use the provided materials from us.

  • our food pantry is getting low!

Our food pantry is low on some items. We can use donations of any non-perishables, but especially the following:  canned fruit, canned soups (especially vegetable, chicken noodle, tomato), boxed mashed potatoes, canned beef stew, canned meats, beans, dry cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned corn, applesauce, muffin & bread mixes, shelf-stable milk and boxed/packages ride/pasta side dishes. Bring any donations to the church office.

  • OSX-  operation serve extended

We are forming a team of volunteers who are willing to be contacted when Operation Serve type needs arise throughout the year. Things such as deliveries, small home repairs, etc. If you are willing to help us extend the love of Operation Serve to others all year long, please fill out a slip at the Welcome Center. You may place it in the offering plate or leave it at the Welcome Center. By signing up, you are only indicating you are interested in being contacted for help when needs arise.

  • card ministry

If you are involved in the card ministry and need some cards, stop in the church office to pick some up.

If you have extra greeting cards you are not using, the card ministry will gladly take them! They especially use get well, thank you and welcome cards. You may bring any donations to the church office.

  • christmas time!! (almost)

Christmas will be here before we know it!  The Community Christmas Choir will be starting up again soon. This is a huge outreach opportunity for our friends and neighbors to be a part of the Christmas story. Once again this year, we'll be presenting some smaller classical works and also having a carol sing-along. Rehearsals will be Tuesday evenings, beginning this fall.

If you would like to be involved with the Christmas Eve services this year, we're looking for actors, singers, instrumentalists and dancers.

If you are interested in participating in either of the above or have any questions, contact Jared: jared@centervillechurch.com.
